Wall Building Basics: Structural Integrity

Walls built using our Grindstone products don’t need any mortar or adhesive. For thousands of years, walls just like the ones you can build today have been held together by friction and gravity. 

When building a natural stone retaining wall, there are several rules to follow to ensure your wall’s structural integrity and longevity. One of those rules is that each stone should have good contact with the stones above, below, and to the side. Our Grindstone products ensure maximum contact between stones on the top and bottom through our patented dimensioning process. All that’s left is for the installers to make sure each stone is laid properly, covering joints and making good contact with its neighbor!
